Long Island Weather Rainy Before Sunny Memorial Day Weekend

Long Island is forecast to have a wet week on tap, but Memorial Day weekend revelers can expect clear, sunny skies with temperatures in the 70s, just in time for beach season to return.

The chance of rainy weather Monday will continue into Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, according to Upton-based meteorologists with the National Weather Service.

The predictions alternate between a likelihood of showers and thunderstorms. Fog will continue from Monday into Tuesday.

After it clears up Friday, the forecast calls for a mostly sunny Saturday and Sunday with the good weather continuing into Memorial Day on Monday.
