Cruise Night

Opening night of Oyster Bay’s Cruise Night was buzzing with excitement on Tuesday, May 21, when community members gathered on Audrey Avenue. A wide variety of cars was brought into town, ranging from old classics to exotic, more recent vehicles.

Herb Pass Berger has brought his 1962 Dodge Polara to the car show for at least eight years. “It’s a fun place to be and a nice environment,” said Berger.

Cruise Night is a great place for people from all over the Island to join together and enjoy a night of cars, music, and even some food. Music was provided by “The Early Bird Special,” and various restaurants offered special deals to anyone attending the car show. Eateries such as Sweet Tomato and La Nonna’s Pizzeria were handing out coupons to anyone interested.

Kristine Jacobson has been coming back to Cruise Night for a few years because of her love of cars, and now her 3-year-old son, Joshua, shares the love as well. Many young children attended the event with parents, including the young Mustang-enthusiast, Kenneth Young III.

Cruise Night takes place on Audrey Avenue in Oyster Bay every Tuesday from 5:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. until Sept. 24. For more information, go to oysterbaycruisenight.com.
