A 36-year-old man who was found dead floating near Inwood Bay Park appears to have drowned, Nassau County police said.

A 911 caller reported finding the victim floating in the water shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday. His identity was not immediately released.

The victim was pronounced at scene and his body was taken to the Nassau County Medical Examiners’ office, where an autopsy will be conducted.

Fourth Squad detectives determined that there appears to be no criminality involved.
