Summer Concert Series
The Village of New Hyde Park will hold its Summer Concert Series until Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. in Memorial Park on Lincoln Avenue, west of New Hyde Park Road between William and Albert Streets. All shows are free and open to all.
In case of rain, shows will be held at William Gill Theater in Village Hall at 1420 Jericho Turnpike on the second floor. For more information, call 516-354-0022

Are you or someone you know seeking a path to faith? Come and have coffee with the Right of Christian Initiation team (RCIA) at St. Aidan’s Parish. Bring someone who is not of our faith and is searching or a baptized catholic who has not received all their sacraments. This is an informal night without any commitments. Thrift Shop
The thrift shop sponsored by Resurrection and St. Aidan Churches will reopen Sept. 12. There is a new supply of mostly all items including house wears, jewelery, clothing etc. Hours are Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Resurrection Church is located at the corner of Campbell Ave. and Center St., Williston Park. Gladiator Fund Golf Classic
The New Hyde Park Gladiator Fund will hold a golf outing to benefit Neil Duggan, New Hyde Park Class of 1976 at Clearview Golf Course on Willets Point Blvd on Friday, Sept. 13. He was recently diagnosed with cancer. Cost is $175, but $200 after Aug. 23. There’s a 6:30 a.m. registration and continental breakfast, followed by a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start with dinner at the Inn at New Hyde Park at 2 p.m. Dinner is $75.
