Pietrina N. Capela of Chatham, New Jersey passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ.
Pietrina was born on September 23, 1947 in New York City, NY. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Salvatore and Domenica (nee Maccarone) Pinzino.
Pietrina was a graduate of Seward Park High School, New York City, NY. She was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Church, Chatham, NJ.
Pietrina was a 1993 finalist contestant in “Mrs. New Jersey.” She had a love for fashion and it always showed in her signature style. She was very family oriented and love spending time with her nephews and niece. Pietrina and husband Joseph shared a love for vintage cars, especially the MGB they took to car shows.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Joseph J. Capela. She is also survived by a sister, Nancy Nolan and husband Daniel Sr. of Manhasset, NY, cousins; Christine Cali of Manhasset, NY, Stephen Pinzino Esq. of Manhassrt, NY, Trina Maura of Warwick, RI, and Steven Pinzino of Vermont. She was the aunt to niece, Jennifer A Nolan of New York City, NY, nephews; Daniel M. Nolan and Thomas Nolan of New York City, NY.
A visitation was held on Thursday, Oct. 3 at Wm. A. Bradley Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928. A Mass of Christian Burial was on Friday, Oct. 4 at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd, Chatham, NJ 07928. An entombment will follow in Nassau Knolls Cemetery, Port Washington, NY.
