Thank you to our hard working volunteers, James Lynch, Barrie Overend, Rosie Lynch, Kelsey Macri, Steve Macri, and Katharine Jushchenko.
With their help we planted 95 fall plants to help beautify Covert Avenue in Stewart Manor.
Rosie and Kelsey and Katharine are Garden City Middle School students who were volunteering on behalf of St. Anne’s Faith Formation Program. Barrie Overend is a Garden City resident and yoga instructor at Bodyworks Day Spa, who said she shops along the Avenue and wanted to help our effort to keep it looking pretty. Steve Macri and James Lynch helped provide the heavy lifting to support their daughters’ community service. This team worked for two solid hours weeding, planting, hauling, watering, and sweeping. It just goes to show you, a few people can make a big difference. Thank you for your time and hard work.
