The boys golf team finished in third place with a 5-3 record, making the fall season one of their most successful in recent history. Their six wins doubled their previous year’s win total and surpassed their win total for any of the previous seven seasons. The team posted a record low team shot total at Eisenhower Golf Course with a 221 against Mineola, a total not recorded in the previous eight seasons.
Moreover, based on individual golf averages and county cut scores from last year, the team is poised to send Steven Maiorca and Andrew Maiorca for the second consecutive year to the Nassau Boys County Golf Tournament in the spring of 2014. The 2013 Boys Golf season was a tremendous success due to the hard work and dedication the entire team put forth this year and the previous three years.
