OTHG Raises $20k For A Farmingdale Child In Need

Players with the men’s 40 and up softball league, known as the Over the Hill Gang, recently presented a check for $20,000 in support of a child from Farmingdale who was born with a rare liver disease. The recipient of this year’s fundraiser, Ellieanna Barters, has endured several procedures, including a liver transplant and is now suffering from a rare post-transplant disease which requires expensive treatments.

Members of the Over the Hill Gange were joined by Oyster Bay Town Clerk James Altadonna Jr. and Nassau County Legislators Michael Venditto and Rose Walker to present the check to Ellieanna and her mom, JenniLynne.

Ellieanna’s mom is a native of Farmingdale and her dad serves in the United States Marine Corps.

During the presentation Town Clerk Altadonna thanked the members of the softball league for their efforts, their kindness and their compassion for a young Town resident.
