Dinner Dance
The Herricks Community Fund’s Dinner Dance is Thursday, Jan. 30 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Inn at New Hyde Park, located at 214 Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park.
NHP-GCP School Board Meeting
The New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School District will hold a budget workshop on Monday, Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hillside Grade School, located at 1150 W. Maple Drive in New Hyde Park.
Manor Oaks PTA Meeting, Valentine’s Day Sale
The Manor Oaks PTA will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 8:45 a.m. in the Manor Oaks School, located at 1150 W. Maple Drive in New Hyde Park. The PTA Valentines Day sale will occur on Feb. 6.
Village Board Meeting
The Village of New Hyde Park will hold its board of trustees meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 8 p.m. in Village Hall at 1420 Jericho Tpke., in New Hyde Park.
Garden City Park School PTA Meeting
The Garden City Park School will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. in the Garden City Park School, located at 51 Central Ave. in Garden City Park.
Herricks School Board Meeting
The Herricks School District Board of Education will meet on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 7:15 p.m. at the Herricks Community Center, located at 99 Herricks Road in New Hyde Park.
Herricks Middle School PTA Meeting
The Herricks Middle School PTA will hold a meeting on Tuesday Feb.11 at 7:30 p.m. at 7 Hilldale Drive in Albertson. For Heart Awareness Month, Karen Acompora will be speaking about sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). She lost her son Louis at age 14 in 2000 on a sports field. He was hit in the chest with a ball and suffered SCA. After Louis’ death, a law was enacted that mandates all public schools in New York State to be equipped with AEDs in their buildings and at all sporting events.
Kick For A Cure
Lexi Zisseslman of Herricks Middle School will host Kick For-A-Cure on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at the Hofstra University Practice Bubble from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in Uniondale. Proceeds will benefit the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.For more information, email mzisselman@yahoo.com
