Pasquale Melise of Norfolk, Va., formerly of Farmingdale, passed away on Jan. 1, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Rose Baldizzi Melise. Devoted father of Patricia Jeanne Melise and her significant other and his friend Joe Thain who visited him every day during his final days. Cherished grandfather of Katherine Marie Gluchowski Fedor, her husband James, and their son (his great-grandson) Andrew, and granddaughter Kristina Rose Gluchowski Fulton and her husband Jon. Special friend to Bob Esposito who nurtured him after his wife’s passing and will always be a true friend. He loved horse racing, baseball, and casinos. He spent many hours at Belmont Park Raceway and on a bus to Atlantic City. He bought lottery tickets until the day before he was hospitalized. Former diesel engine mechanic for Bush Terminal Railway and NY Dock Railway. He had a lifelong love affair with New York, especially Brooklyn and the Yankees. His main source of nutrition was cake, and he has been known to frequent several different bakeries daily! Interment was at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home Inc.
