Norma Zucker (nee Weisbord), 88, died peacefully at home in her sleep on Thursday, Jan. 30. She was the loving wife of Arthur C. Zucker, wonderful mother of daughters and son-in-laws, Bobbie and Rick Cohlan and Audrey and Harvey Kaplan; devoted grandmother to grand-daughters and their husbands, Tracy and Scott Sigal, Becca and Scott Behar, Hilary and Tyler Hughes, Lily Kaplan, and Abby Kaplan; and proud great-grandmother to Nathan Sigal, Oliver Hughes (predeceased) and Lucas Behar.
Norma lived in Great Neck for over 50 years. She was highly respected as an outstanding teacher for many years at the Great Neck North Shore Hebrew Academy. Following her retirement, she served for several years as the president of the Great Neck Hadassah. She was an active, lively woman who loved people, cooking, reading, knitting, and playing bridge. Her laughter and generous nature will be sorely missed by her family, her many close friends, and her former students.
