Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the woman they say stole a woman’s pocketbook in a grocery store in December.
The victim was shopping in the Stop and Shop at 8101 Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury on Dec. 22 at 8:30 p.m. when police say the woman pictured bumped into her cart, then took her pocketbook when the victim turned her back.
Less than 10 minutes later the unidentified woman allegedly attempted to use one of the victim’s credit cards at the Chase Bank on West Jericho Turnpike in Syosset.
Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who can identify the woman, or anyone with any information about this case to call 1-800-244-8477. All calls will remain anonymous.
