Authorities have increased the reward for information to $3,000 in the case of a dog that was thrown from a window of a moving truck in Mastic Beach last month.
Suffolk County SPCA officials said “Hap” the pit bull has been treated for his injuries and reunited with his family, but investigators are still searching for the suspect that tossed the dog from a 4-foor pickup truck onto the street, leaving the dog with a head wound.
