A 24-year-old Roosevelt woman was killed when she crashed the SUV she was driving on the Meadowbrook State Parkway in Westbury on Tuesday morning.

New York State Police said Danielle Tippin was driving a Ford Explorer northbound when she lost control of the truck, causing it to roll over onto the center median near exit M3 for Merchants Concourse at 9:44 a.m.

Tippin was ejected from the SUV. She was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead shortly later.

A passenger in the truck, 22-year-old Yesser Vanegas of Copiague, was also taken to NUMC for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
