More Fabulous Folk In Port

folkLandmark on Main Street is continuing its “Fabulous Folk Series” by presenting three performers: Brother Sun, Martyn Joseph and Amy Speace, hosted by WFUV’s John Platt on Saturday, April 5 at 8 p.m.

Amy Speace was discovered by Judy Collins and signed to Collins’ imprint, Wildflower Records, releasing two critically-acclaimed albums. Judy Collins herself recorded Amy’s song, “The Weight of the World,” calling it “one of the best political folk songs I’ve ever heard.”

Greg Greenway, Pat Wictor, and Joe Jencks have made their mark as veteran touring singer-songwriters, Brother Sun. Fusing folk, Americana, blues, pop, jazz, rock, and a cappella singing, Brother Sun conveys musical diversity and harmony in the finest of male singing traditions. Martyn Joseph is a crowd pleasing performer. Shades of Bruce Springsteen, John Mayer, Bruce Cockburn and Dave Matthews there may be—but he stands in his own right.

Tickets are Premium $47 (Friends $42); Standard $42 (Friends $37) and can be ordered through the box office phone number is 516-767-6444 or on-line www.landmarkonmainstreet.org.
