A 43-year-old man was killed when his pick-up truck crashed head-on with a coach bus in Albertson on Tuesday morning.

Nassau County police said Facundo Ponce of Glen Head was driving a Dodge southbound on Roslyn Road when he lost control, drove into the northbound lane and struck the bus shortly after 9 a.m.

The bus, owned by the Coach Bus Company, then struck a tree.

Ponce was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 60-year-old man driving the bus and the lone passenger, a 38-year-old man, were both taken to a local hospital, where they are listed in critical condition.

Homicide Squad inspected the bus, impounded the truck and are continuing the investigation.
