TOBAY Lifeguards Wanted

lifeguardOyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto announced that the Town is currently seeking individuals interested in working as a lifeguard for the 2014 summer season.

“Town of Oyster Bay lifeguards not only carry with them a sense of pride, but they have the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful setting during the summer at one of the Town’s pristine beaches or pools,” Supervisor Venditto said. “Being a lifeguard is no easy task, however, and is meant for those who are experienced swimmers and up for the challenge of protecting residential swimmers and beach attendees.”

Any interested applicants must possess a current Nassau County Department of Health Lifeguard Certification Card and a current CPR/AED Certification Card. Qualified applicants may apply in person at the Town of Oyster Bay Parks Department Human Resources Office, located in Town Hall South (977 Hicksville Road, Massapequa).

“Having a summer job as a lifeguard is a rewarding and exciting opportunity,” Supervisor Venditto said. “They provide an invaluable service to the community. Serving as a lifeguard also helps build confidence, self-esteem, and friendships. It’s a great way to spend a summer.”
