Berner Middle School was evacuated earlier this afternoon after a bomb threat was phoned into the school, according to a Massapequa school district official.
The official said the bomb threat was phoned into the school at around noon and the school was immediately evacuated. Police are currently inside of the building conducting their investigation while children and staff wait safely outside.
The school district official there is no smoke or other signs of damage and that the rest of the school day should go on as planned once police conclude their investigation.
