On Thursday, June 5, from 6 to 8 p.m., local residents can register for swim lessons at the pool at Christopher Morley Park in Roslyn.
The classes are available for youngsters, ages three and up. There will be three sessions this summer, each session is two weeks long and will run Monday – Friday, during the designated class times. There will be no classes held on Friday, July 4. To register for swim lessons, any participant over the age of 13 must have a current leisure pass. Each class is $65 plus a $5 registration fee.
On Monday, June 30, the pool at Christopher Morley Park in Roslyn will open for the 2014 season. Beginning on that date, the pool will be open daily through Labor Day. The large swimming complex at Christopher Morley Park in Roslyn-North Hills includes an Olympic-size pool, diving tank with boards, and a kiddie pool. It also includes various conveniences, such as lockers, dressing areas, showers, concession stands, lounge and deck chairs and sun shelters.
