New Kensington Police Officer

Kensington Mayor Susan Lopatkin swears in police recruit Peter Bongo to the Kensington Police Department. Recruit Bongo was selected from the Nassau County Police List, established by Nassau County Civil Service, to fill a position that had become available upon the retirement of another officer last year. The village had interviewed and selected him to fill this position in the fall of last year, however his hiring was delayed while awaiting the start of a police academy class by the Nassau County Police Department. He will rejoin the Kensington Police Department upon his graduation from the academy later this year.
