For many people, lacrosse’s ground zero can be found in Garden City. One reason is that every year, the village of Garden City hosts the Annual Jay Gallagher Tournament. The non-profit Jay Gallagher Memorial Foundation uses this event to raise money for used towards cancer awareness, research and improving the lives of those diagnosed with cancer.
On Sunday, June 15, the NCPAL Special Needs Knights will take on the Garden City Challengers at the St. Paul’s School, which is located on Stewart Avenue in Garden City.
