A woman is wanted for questioning after she was caught on camera throwing a Toy Poodle from her car in Mastic last week, the Suffolk County SPCA said Thursday.
A witnesses told investigators that he boxed the woman in with his car to talk to her about the incident, which occurred in front of the Exxon Gas Station on Montauk Highway on June 23, authorities said.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic woman in her 30s with brown, straight hair, a small piercing in her lower lip and a tattoo of a name written in script on the right side of her neck.
She was driving a small-sized, 4-door sedan with four children between 3 and 5 years old in the back seat, none whom were buckled up, and an older child in the front passenger seat, according to the witness.
The agency is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to her arrest. Roy Gross, chief of the Suffolk County SPCA, asked the woman to turn herself in.
