John Athanasian, son of Ed and Susan Athanasian, a rising freshman; Luke Cummings, son of Darrin and Marilu Cummings; and John Neil, son of John and Donna Neil, both rising seniors at Paul D. Schreiber High School; have been named as 2014 Brine National High School All-Americans.
They represented Long Island at the 2014 Brine National Lacrosse Classic held in Boyds, MD, June 30–July 3.
The Brine National Lacrosse Classic brings the top-ranked high school lacrosse players in the country to one venue, where regional teams compete to become the 2014 National Champion.
The Brine Long Island teams faced regional teams from Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New England, upstate New York, New Jersey and Michigan.
Neil and Cummings, two varsity starters for the Schrieber High School team, have been playing together on various teams since they started playing lacrosse in second grade with PYA. Athanasian will play at Paul D. Schreiber High School next year.
