The King Of Rock treated Westbury seniors to a hip-swinging performance last week, during the center’s monthly Celebration Day. During Celebration Day, the seniors commemorate members’ birthdays and anniversaries for the month. After enjoying lunch, ice cream and cake, the seniors were treated to fun entertainment.
The man under the Elvis wig was Gregg Peters, who has been dressing up like the King for the past 36 years and entertaining audiences all over New York. Last week, he brought Elvis back to life at the senior center, singing popular songs such as “Blue Suede Shoes,” and “A Big Hunk O’ Love.”
“The songs brought back lots of fond memories and everyone enjoyed Elvis’ lively performance,” said senior center executive director Maureen Droge.
