Matthew Benzinger and Alexander Zimmerman, both of Port Washington, are getting ready to head off to college after graduating from Nassau BOCES Long Island High School for the Arts (LIHSA).
Benzinger, who studied art at LIHSA, will attend Hartford University, from which he received a $68,000 scholarship. In addition, Matthew was awarded a Certificate of Recognition, which is presented to students who have made consistent progress in all of their coursework at school.
Alexander, who studied music at LIHSA, will attend the University of the Arts, from which he received a $56,000 scholarship
