A 27-year-old man was fatally struck by an SUV while riding a bicycle in his hometown of Central Islip over the weekend.

Suffolk County police said Marlon Santos was riding his bicycle on Joshuas Path when he was hit by a northbound Mitsubishi Montero at 10:14 p.m. Saturday.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not hurt.

Vehicular Crime Unit detectives are continuing the investigation, are looking for additional vehicles that may have been involved and ask anyone with information about this crash to call them at 631-852-6555 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
