Investigators are searching for the shooter that killed a 28-year-old man in a Long Beach apartment complex over the weekend, Nassau County police said.

Long Beach city police officers responded to a report of gunshots fired on Birch Court near the train station, where they found the victim suffering from a bullet wound shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, authorities said.

The victim, Tyrenzo Brown, was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
