Plainview-Old Bethpage Stratford Road Elementary School students recently received The Summer Reading Trophy awarded by the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library for reading more books over the summer than any of the other four elementary schools.
The school was presented with the trophy at a school-wide assembly and was also awarded 50 new books for the library.
One hundred and fifty students registered for the summer reading program and 98 children read three or more books.
