Mah Jongg

College Interview Prep
The Locust Valley Library offers a 90-minute seminar from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on how to prepare for the college interview and how to optimize your college visit. The program is led by Barbara Becker. Register in-person, online or by phone. Pointers will be provided on how to answer the toughest questions. Instruction on necessary preparation before, during and after your campus visit will be presented as well as suggestions on how to best time visits and what to look for in order to maximize your experience. A Q/A session will follow. This program is led by Barbara Becker, M.A., M.S., who has been a licensed educator and high school guidance counselor for 33 years. Music at the Mansion
Enjoy Music at the Mansion at Coe Hall at Planting Fields Historic State Park on Nov. 7 at 6:30 p.m. Jason and Elysa Hochman, a married couple, are an acoustic guitar world fusion duo specializing in Spanish, flamenco and classical guitar. Jay creates and plays melodic melodies while Lee compliments these melodies with ornate rhythmic and percussive guitar playing. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine at every concert. A talented local artist will lead attendees through step-by-step instructions to create the evenings featured painting. It is stress-free and absolutely no experience is necessary. Author Workshop
Meet local author Mariah Leal and her dog Piper. The author’s third book, Piper Goes to School was released at the end of September. The pair are doing a workshop at the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Boys and Girls Club at 10 a.m. Leal’s goal is to educate children on training and socializing dogs so we can cut down on the number of dog bites involving children and the number of dogs relinquished to shelters simply because they haven’t been trained or socialized.
Just Be…Yoga

The North Shore Assembly of God, 84 Orchard St., Oyster Bay is operating a food pantry for the community. It is meant to supplement the growing needs of the community.
