More Excellence From Roslyn Students

Roslyn High School student, Mark Kong joined other Long Island students from The Institute of Creative Problem Solving for Gifted and Talented Students, Research & Technology program in participating in the Harvard/MIT Math Tournament.

The two Long Island teams from The Institute performed admirably, with Team 2 winning fourth place in the team round. The Harvard/ MIT Math Tournament is an annual competition for high school students. It is considered one of the toughest and largest in the country.

The Institute of Creative Problem Solving for Gifted and Talented Students is a tuition free program for gifted and talented young scholars to experience creative problem solving.

In addition to Kong, other students participating were: Talia Blum, Plainview Old Bethpage JFK High School; Daniel Celic, New Hyde Park Memorial High School; Kelly Gannon, Sacred Heart Academy; Stephen Kyranakis, Smithtown West High School; Sam Latt, Huntington High School; Nick Marmann, Smithtown West High School; Miranda Nykolyn, Huntington High School; Rachael Park, Manhasset High School and Zachary Ryan, South Side High School.
