The Levittown Schools Board of Education will meet on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 7:30 p.m. at the Levittown Memorial Education Center on Abbey Lane. 

 

Thursday, Dec. 11

 

A Taste of Home Bakery will offer 10 Gingerbread House/Chocolate House decorating workshops this holiday season. Classes will be offered on Dec. 11, 12, 18 and 19 at 4:30 p.m. and again at 7 p.m., on Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. and Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. Suitable for all ages. Reservations are required. Holiday Gift Extravaganza benefiting the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center at Cohen Children’s Hospital in connection with the Joey Foundation at Levittown Hall, 201 Levittown Pkwy. in Hicksville from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. More than 50 vendors, no two are the same. Kiwanis K-Kids, visit from Santa, photo opportunity.

You’re in for a treat if you attend the presentation of the Christmas Cantata performed by the church’s Chancel Choir under the direction
of Hsia-Jung Chang, on Sunday, Dec. 21 during the worship service at 10:30 a.m. at 1845 Wantagh Ave., Wantagh. 

 

While you’re in the musical mood, join for a Community Festival of Christmas Carols on Sunday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. Sing along with your favorite Christmas carols, hear the Christmas story in a relaxed, informal atmosphere and enjoy some holiday treats.

 

Wednesday, Dec. 24

 

The reason for the season at Wantagh Memorial Congregational Church at 1845 Wantagh Ave., Wantagh. On Christmas Eve, Wednesday, Dec. 24, there will be three services. The Family Service is at 5 p.m., the Carols and Candlelight Service are at 8 p.m., followed at 11:30 p.m. by the Midnight Candlelight Service.
