Earlier this month, U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Shawn Scott, who commands the Army’s Hicksville Recruiting Center, traveled to the Swan Club in Roslyn to meet with The Kiwanis Club of North Shore members.
At the meeting, Scott presented a talk, “Kiwanis & the U.S. Army: Shared Values of Education, Leadership and Service.” The U.S. Army, Scott said, is in its fourth year of a successful partnership with Kiwanis International as a Kiwanis Vision Partner. His remarks represented the first meeting in Roslyn as part of a new U.S. Army and Kiwanis Speakers Bureau partnership.
