Mineola Subway Robbed

An armed gunman robbed Subway on Jericho Turnpike in Mineola last night at 9:35 p.m., Nassau County police announced.

According to detectives, a black male suspect, wearing tan boots, blue jeans, a black jacket and gray sweatshirt entered Subway armed with a handgun and demanded money from a 23-year-old male employee. The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot northbound on White Road with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The victim was alone in the store at the time of the incident, police said. No injuries were reported.
