Cops are looking for two suspects after they pistol whipped a victim in a violent Hicksville robbery.
According to detectives, two males entered Wall Street Gold Buyers on Old Country Road just after 3 p.m. on Feb. 16 claiming that they wanted to sell gold. But before long, one of the suspects told the owner, a 55-year-old female, that he had a gun, cops said. When the victim attempted to flee the store, cops say one of the thugs pistol whipped her in the head.
After a brief struggle, cops say the victim was able to leave the store and call out for help. Authorities say the suspects took more than $1,000 and a Michael Kors watch before fleeing the store. They were last seen entering a black SUV parked around the corner; cops say they headed westbound on Old Country Road.
Far from a clean getaway, the suspects and their vehicle were spotted on surveillance cameras. One of the suspects is described as a 25-year-old male with short brown hair and the other is described as a 25-year-old male with a black face mask and black jacket.
