Suspect Attempts Identity Theft

Police say a suspect is wanted in connection with an identity theft and possible bank fraud.

According to detectives, on Jan. 23 at approximately 1:20 p.m., the suspect was captured on surveillance video at Bethpage Federal Credit Union on South Oyster Bay Road in Bethpage. There, cops say, the suspect used a driver’s license stolen from a victim in Elmont in an attempt to cash two Western Union money orders totaling $980 against the victim’s account.
