Spring Mens Tennis Program
The Department of Recreation and Parks is happy to announce the continuation of two new tennis programs for men, both to be held at our Garden City Community Park Tennis Center. The Men’s Learn and Play Tennis program is for beginner level participants and those who have not played in a while. You are invited to partake in this 60-minute learn and play program on Sunday nights from 7 to 8 p.m. The cost of this program is $175. The Men’s Ultimate Tennis Workout Program is for more advanced players with a skill level of 3.0 and higher. In this program, you are invited to take advantage of this high-intensity workout on Sunday nights from 8 to 9:30 p.m. The ultimate tennis workout program will carry a $260 registration fee. Both programs begin Sunday, April 12 and continue for a six-week period ending May 17.
Zumba Fitness Class Added
Certified Zumba fitness instructor Felicia Lovaglio has added another class to her week. This class will take place in St. Paul’s Senior Center on Thursdays from 7:45 to 8:30 pm.
Zumba exercise includes music with fast and slow rhythms as well as resistance training. Classes will begin on Thursday, April 16. The cost of this eight-week program will be $64.
Spring Youth Tennis Classes
The Garden City Department of Recreation and Parks Tennis Center recently announced the start of registration for its spring program. The spring tennis classes are offered to Garden City residents ages 4 through 15 years old. All classes will begin the week of Monday, April 20. The classes are 55 minutes long.

US Sports Institute
Spring programs with US Sports Institute will start in early April with the very popular Multisport Camp for 5 to 11 years old during the spring break. They will also offer weekly classes beginning in April for children ages 3 to 7 years in soccer, T-ball and multisports. For the 2-and 3-year-olds, US Sports Institute will held Parent and Me classes on Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday mornings.
