A Mastic teenager has been arrested for allegedly stabbing another to death following an argument over the weekend, Suffolk County police said.

Michael Dennis, 19, was charged with manslaughter in the death of 17-year-old Trevor Bender.

Police said the victim was the passenger in a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old man who got into an argument with a group of people standing at the corner of Mastic Road and Moriches Avenue at 5:10 p.m. Friday.

Homicide Squad detectives alleged that when the victim and the driver got out of the vehicle, Dennis stabbed Bender and ran away.

Bender was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead.

Dennis was ordered held without bail during his arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip.
