Sunday, June 20, is the date for the 22nd Annual Great Neck/Manhassset Antique Fire Apparatus Show and Muster. This exciting and special event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the rear of Mary Jane Davies Park, across from 220 Plandome Rd. in Manhasset. Once again, this joint community day is hosted by the Great Neck Alert Fire Company and the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department.
Over the years, this annual event has grown into one of the largest antique fire shows and musters on Long island. Come and be amazed and intrigued by some of the oldest pieces of fire equipment around.
Round out the day viewing the large displays of antique fire apparatus and fire trucks, watch the excitement when firefighter teams compete in fabulous games and enjoy tastes of all kinds of treats, lunches and refreshing cold drinks. And, as always, the event welcomes local fire departments to display their antique trucks for all to see.
Don’t miss this spectacular once-a-year fire show day. Everyone is welcome to join the Great Neck and Manhasset-Lakeville fire companies as they celebrate these magnificent vehicles and the unselfish men and women who risk their lives everyday for all of us.
Firefighters, their families and friends are all welcome to come and enjoy the day.
