Tennis Courts Grand Opening
The Locust Valley Library will celebrate the grand opening of its newly renovated tennis courts, from 10 a.m. to noon. The renovation was made possible by a $15,000 Facilities Grant from the USTA and $110,000 raised by the Locust Valley Tennis Association (LVTA). The community is invited to join in for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to thank them for making this renovation possible. Refreshments will be served and tennis pro Steve Abbondondelo will be on hand to lead some fun activities. Feel free to bring along your racquet and tennis shoes.

Independence Day Parade
Quentin Roosevelt Post No.4 of the American Legion will hold its annual Independence Day Parade, coordinated by Post Commander Reginald Butt. Assembly time is 10 a.m. and the parade begins at 10:30 a.m. The assembly area is Church Street at the Oyster Bay Community Center, and the parade will march from Church down East Main Street onto Audrey Avenue to the Derby-Hall Bandstand. Parade participants include American Legion Posts, VFW Posts, Korean War Veterans Association, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Friends of Raynham Hall, Atlantic Steamer Fire Co., Oyster Bay Fire Co. No. 1 and members of the park service from Sagamore Hill. Music at the bandstand by the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Community Band.
Dancing In The Streets
The Friday night dancing series kicks off this week, from 7 to 9 p.m. around the bandstand on Audrey Avenue.
