An 81-year-old woman died after her Deer Park home caught fire early Sunday morning, Suffolk County police said.

First Precinct officers on routine patrol saw smoke coming from a Pine Street home at 4:50 a.m.

Firefighters from multiple fire departments responded to the house fire, where they found Eleanor Didea dead on the first floor, police said.

Investigators have preliminarily determined the cause of the fire to be electrical in nature.

Homicide Squad and Arson Section detectives and the Town of Babylon Fire Marshal’s office are continuing the investigation.
