Nassau County police is searching for a man in connection with a robbery at a nearby CVS Pharmacy two weeks ago. According to police, the man entered CVS at 310 Hillside Ave. in New Hyde Park on July 14 at 5:35 p.m. and was observed on surveillance cameras, stealing boxes of Claritin from the shelf before stuffing them in his pocket.
Police said when the subject was leaving the store, an employee attempted to stop him when the subject motioned towards his waist band and stated he had a gun. The man fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Police described the suspect as a black male in his 20’s, 5-foot-8 inches tall, medium build, wearing black baggy jeans, a blue T-shirt, Toronto Blue Jays baseball hat and earrings in both ears.
