Suffolk County police are investigating the death of a 42-year-old man at a bar in his hometown of Rocky Point over the weekend, authorities said.

Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a disturbance at Rocky Point Ale House on Broadway, where they found Michael Murphy suffering from a medical emergency at 10 p.m. Saturday, police said.

The man was taken to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson, where he was pronounced dead an hour and a half later.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
