A 49-year-old man was killed when he crashed his truck in his hometown of Sound Beach over the weekend.

Suffolk County police said Richard Cambria was driving his Dodge pickup truck southbound on Islip Drive when the truck left the roadway and struck a telephone pole and retaining wall at 11:50 a.m. Saturday

The victim was taken to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson, where he was pronounced dead.

Seventh Squad detectives impounded the vehicle and ask anyone with information on this crash to call them at 631-852-8752.
