Marching Band And Color Guard Invitational

MarchingBand_093015AThe Manhasset High School Marching Band and Color Guard, under the direction of Randy Knudsen, Manhasset High School’s director of bands, announces the fifth Annual Invitational Marching Band Competition to be held at Manhasset Secondary School on Sunday, Oct. 4, beginning at 12 noon and ending at 2:30 p.m. High School bands from Hicksville, Oceanside, Garden City, South Huntington and Lindenhurst will be joining the Manhasset Marching Band in a dazzling judged competition of music and marching.

MarchingBand_093015BManhasset’s Marching Band is led by student drum majors (conductors) Jeffrey Chin, class of 2016, and Michelle Marcisak, class of 2016. The marching band show features music from Star Wars. The competition kicks off the Manhasset Marching Band season, which will be followed by competitions in Bergenfield High School in New Jersey, the NY State championships in Uniondale, the Manhasset High School Homecoming Parade and football game, East Brunswick High School in New Jersey, Old Bridge High School, and the eastern national championships in Dover, DE. The Manhasset High School Marching Band will also perform at several Manhasset football games and in the Memorial Day Parade next spring.

Come see the best Long Island high school marching bands perform elaborate routines in this USBands event. This is an excellent family-oriented opportunity to see musicians perform.
