Nassau County police are investigating an armed home invasion in Freeport during which the victim was pistol whipped and tied up over Columbus Day weekend.

A 48-year-old man was entering his apartment on Atlantic Avenue when three gunmen pushed the victim inside and one of the assailants hit the victim in the head with a gun before tying him up at 6:55 p.m. Saturday, police said.

It is unclear what the suspects stole before they fled. The victim was treated and released from a local hospital. Three family members of the victim were home at the time but were not injured.

First Squad detectives request anyone with information regarding the above crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
