GOP Candidate Night
The Garden City Republican Club will be hosting a Republican candidates forum where they will share their goals and answer any questions attendees may have. Refreshments will be served. The meeting will be 8 p.m. at St. Paul’s Senior Center located at 108 Rockaway Ave.

Robots –Take 2
Registration began Sept. 30 online on Eventkeeper for the program Robots–Take 2 to be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Science teacher Chris Buchman will teach YAs how to construct working robots. Lego Drop-In Club
The Garden City Public Library’s Children’s Department will be holding a meeting for this monthly club that is for children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. The club will meet on Thursday afternoon from 4 to 5 p.m. No registration is required and children are accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Toothbrush Robots
Visit the Garden City Public Library for Toothbrush Robots with science teacher Chris Buchman. This program is for children in grades k through 2 at 1 p.m. and children in grades 3 to 5 at 2 p.m. Registration is required. Registration began Monday, Oct. 5, on Eventkeeper. You must do a separate registration for each child you wish to attend the program. Please arrive promptly. If you are late, your spot may be given to someone on the wait list. Marvelous Movie Matinée
A screening of the 2010 historical drama The King’s Speech starring Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter will be held from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Garden City Public Library. There will be a meeting of the board of library trustees at 7:30 p.m. at the Garden City Public Library in the small meeting room, lower level.
