On Thursday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m., the Sisterhood of Temple Beth Sholom will host The Great Big Challah Bake.
Participants will share the beauty and meaning of learning how to bake challah for Shabbat. Sharona of Challah 4 Segula of Great Neck will serve as the guide in a spiritual experience that will transform the Shabbat experience. Pre-registration is required. Doors open at 6 p.m. The cost is $26 for each bowl and set of ingredients.. Participants may bring children ages 11 to 17 to share challah making at no extra charge.
Participants should also bring three individually wrapped paper goods to be donated to The Fourth Week initiative launched by UJA-Federation Women’s Philanthropy for distribution to Long Island food pantries.
