On Sept. 30, the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation (LIAF) held another fabulous Whimsical Wednesday with a delicious lunch, lots of smiles and plenty of dancing. Community Outreach & Events Coordinator Christine Fex said, “It has been such a wonderful program and everyone seems to be enjoying it very much.”
Whimsical Wednesdays is a free program for those living with the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease or related forms of dementia (whether a diagnosis has been made or not) and their spouse, caregiver, family member or friend.
“A special thank you once again to Lisa Bellinsky and her parents Marie and Ted Vecchio for their wonderful generosity in making this happen,” said Fex.
The next Whimsical Wednesday takes place on Oct. 28. The program runs from 12 to 2 p.m. and is held at The City Cellar Restaurant, 1080 Corporate Dr., Westbury. Contact Christine Fex at 516-767-6856 to reserve spots.
