A Holbrook man was arrested for allegedly killing his mother’s 47-year-old live-in boyfriend in the apartment they shared on Halloween, Suffolk County police said.
The suspect, Rakien Hall, 31, got into an argument with the victim, Oscar Green, at their Portion Road home when Hall allegedly stabbed Green in the neck shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday, police said.
Green was taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Hall, who fled the apartment on foot, was apprehended shortly before 9 a.m. Sunday, police said.
Homicide Squad detectives charged Hall with first-degree manslaughter. He will be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Central Islip.
