The Floral Park Women’s Club will hold their membership meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 12:30 p.m. at the recreation center. Refreshments will be served and a business meeting will follow. Public Education at the Crossroads panel of speakers will be held on Monday, Nov. 23, at 7 p.m. at the New Hyde Park Elks Lodge, 901 Lakeville Rd. Open to the public.

The Sewanhaka Central High School District Board of Education meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 8 p.m. at Sewanhaka High School.

Advent Bible School will be held again this year at the United Methodist Church of Floral Park on Sundays from Nov. 29 to Dec. 20, from 10 to 11 a.m. This is a non-denominational, no-fee program is open to all children in grades 1-6. Interested families can call 516-354-4969 to register.

The Floral Park Women’s Club Christmas Tree Lighting will be held on Friday, Dec. 4, at 6:30 p.m. at Memorial Park (Tulip and Plainfield avenues).
Hanukkah begins at sundown on Sunday, Dec. 6.
The Floral Park Chamber of Commerce will hold its holiday party on Monday, Dec. 7, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Crabtree’s Restaurant. Cost is $50 per person.
The Bellerose Women’s Club will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 8, from 1 to 2 p.m.
The Floral Park Over Fifty Club will meet on Thursday, Dec. 10, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the recreation center.
The South Side Civic Association will meet on Thursday, Dec. 10, at 7:30 p.m. at the recreation center.
The Floral Park board of trustees will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 8 p.m. on the second floor of the village hall.
The Floral Park AARP Chapter #5224 will meet on Monday, Dec. 21, from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at the recreation center.
Reminder: Village of Floral Park parking permit users…all parking permits expire on Dec. 31, 2015. The village will begin issuing 2016 permits on Monday, Dec. 7. Village hall hours will be extended to accommodate permit buyers on Monday, Dec. 21, and Monday, Dec. 28, from 8:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. Regular village hall hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. Village hall hours on Thursdays, Dec. 24, and Dec. 31, are from 8:30 a.m. to noon, and closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

FISH Of Floral Park Provides free transportation to and from medical appointments for senior citizens who are residents of the Floral Park/Bellerose area and cannot afford cab fare or who have no other means of transportation. Should you or a loved one need transportation to a medical appointment, contact FISH at 516-835-9522 or telephone coordinator Fran Hornberger at 516-775-0740.
At the Bellerose Jewish Center, located at 254-04 Union Tpke., in Floral Park: free Jewish education for kindergarten and Sunday School children. A thorough religious curriculum with experienced teachers for third grade to their bar/bat mitzvah is also provided. Also, the Renaissance Group, a nonsectarian group of men and women who have lost a dear one meet. An exchange of ideas can be helpful. Call 718-343-9001 for the date of the next meeting.
